Overview
AgMapper makes it easy to map what ever you like and share it with other software packages by using the very common shape file format (.SHP) to store your mapping data. Also supports .KML (Google Earth) format. Measure and view points, lines, areas and lengths using your Pocket PC and compatible GPS unit. This software runs on Windows Mobile, and is designed to use the standard NMEA serial data string from a GPS unit.
The
AgMapper software is ideal for farm planning / mapping, recording your favourite hunting, riding tracks/spots, bushwalking/trecking, or simply any activity where you would like to record where you have been, measure those areas and distances and share that data with other software packages.
This software is extremely easy to use and uses open file formats (like .shp and .kml files) so you can easily import and export your data to and from other software applications. You can even load your own images onto the map you've created by using the image converter that is apart of this software.
There are several different modes you can choose from to create your maps.
- Live Mapping enables you to use your devices GPS to create your map.
- Draw allows you to manually draw lines, polygons & labels.
- Compass shows you an electronic compass along with other information on the screen.
- GoTo allows you to navigate your way back to important locations.
There is no limit to the number of map or way point layers loaded and most of the worlds datum and grid systems are supported.
