GBM Mobile includes software to set up the mobile device, transfer data to and from the mobile device and to merge field edits into the central data store. Customisable data entry forms simplify field operations and manage data quality. GBM Mobile is a mature "out-of-the box" solution. It can be implemented quickly and used by operators with minimal computer skills and no GIS experience.

This robust software incorporates MapInfo MapX Mobile GIS technology, and is fully GPS enabled.

The system includes software to set up the mobile device, transfer data to and from the mobile device and to merge field edits into the central data store. Mobile devices may be docked to a local PC or may transfer data across a wireless network or by mobile phone.

GBM Mobile is based on MapInfo MapX Mobile technology and integrates with MapInfo Professional on the support PC. It works natively with MapInfo .tab files and can display other GIS data such as ESRI .shp files.

Mobile components use low-level C++ code to avoid problems with embedded Visual Basic. Memory footprint is reduced, as you don't need to load Visual Basic on Pocket PC 2003 systems. Custom forms streamline field data entry. Tool button and screen layouts are optimised for operator productivity. New map features are always drawn with the right map symbols. Graphics change automatically when attributes are updated.

This software is fully scalable from a single mobile device to the entrprise. Integration framework and web server options support interfacing with corporate IT systems.
