Combined trainer and navigator. The Garmin Edge 705 HC helps you train and ride, and then guides you back. With a highly sensitive GPS built-in, it will operate even under tree cover, and around tall buildings. The wireless heart-rate monitor provides realtime information to the Edge, which is shown on screen, and logged. The Edge 705 HC also includes a speed/cadence sensor to monitor your pedaling cadence and wheel speed as you ride. You can even use it to train indoors because the sensor attaches to your rear wheel.

Powerful mapping capabilities include MicroSD slot for detailed street or topo mapping, and auto-routing capability (beeps at each turn direction) for compatible maps such as City Navigator Australia. The Edge 705 HC features a large colour screen, capable of displaying at 176 x 220 pixels.

Long rides are no problem with a typical battery life of 15 hours from the li-polymer battery. Being fully waterproof, this really is an all-weather fitness GPS.

The Edge 705 HC measures and logs your speed, distance, time, calories burned, altitude, climb and descent, and can record up to 1000 laps. Can also save 100 GPS waypoints, and 50 routes.

You can share your courses, workouts and saved rides wirelessly with other Edge 705 users. Simply select "Transfer Data" when your friend is within a 3 metre range and they can view or ride try your course.
