Like the rest of the units in the eTrex series, the eTrex Legend HCx is a lightweight and compact GPS. A great choice for hiking, bush walking, or international travel. The Legend HCx features a new generation ultra-sensitive GPS chip, 25 hour battery life, auto-routing capability with additional mapping, and USB interface. You can load detailed marine mapping, street mapping, or contour mapping onto a blank MicroSD card. Other important features include pan/zoom map page, 1000 waypoint storage, Tracbak feature and computer connectivity via USB. For farming, agriculture, agronomy, aquaculture and related endeavours, the eTrex Legend HCx measures distances and directions between points, and area measurements.

Conveniently plug in optional preloaded microSD cards with MapSource data for your land and sea excursions. Detailed street maps can provide turn-by-turn directions to your destination. Maps can also be loaded from computer to a blank card. If you want expanded track-logging, this is one way to get it. The card slot is located inside the waterproof battery compartment, so you don't have to worry about getting it wet.

Outdoor Expert

It is fully waterproof, so don't be afraid to load Garmin marine map Bluechart to use in the boat. It can withstand the elements or an accidental dunk in water. Use on a bike or quad - perfect for farm, ornithology, planning or environmental work. Comes with software for basic mapping functions on computer. Add topographic contours, and see them overlaid on the base map or other Mapsource products. Crisp 256-color, sunlight-readable display makes it easy to distinguish map details.
