The
eTrex Venture HC has undergone a makeover! Now with colour screen, mapping support, 24MB of internal memory, and a brand new ultra-sensitive GPS receiver for better reception in forest-timber, canyons and other difficult areas.
Like the rest of the units in the eTrex series, the
Venture HC is a lightweight and compact GPS. A great choice for hiking, bush walking, or international travel. The
Venture HC features a new generation ultra-sensitive GPS chip, 14 hour battery life, and USB interface. You can load portions of detailed marine mapping, street mapping, or contour mapping onto the 24MB of internal memory. Other important features include pan/zoom map page, 500 waypoint storage,
tracbak feature, and computer connectivity via USB. For farming, agriculture, agronomy, aquaculture and related endeavours, the
eTrex Venture HC measures distances and directions between points, and area measurements.
The
eTrex Venture HC has
area measurement functions, making it equally useful for farmers, loss adjusters, land-owners, agricultural consultants, and aquaculturalists. Area measurement is simple and fast. Included is a built in Australia/Asia/Pacific basemap for comfort level map position in other countries. The
eTrex Venture HC is compatible with most MapSource products (Phone 1800 477 477 for clarification). With 24MB's of built in memory, you have the ability to load maps from any computer to this internal memory. You can log 500 waypoints with name, category, comment and graphic symbol. The
eTrex Venture HC lets you save 50 routes and a track-log of 10,000 points automatically, with track-back so you can retrace your path.
