The GPSMAP 76CSx adds a whole new dimension to the mariner-friendly 76-series. With a high-sensitivity GPS receiver, microSD card slot, colour TFT screen and turn-by-turn routing, this unit is perfect for outdoor activities, and because it is IPX7 waterproof (the device even floats!) you don't have to worry about protecting it from the elements.

There's a built in electronic compass to view bearing information, even when you're standing still. The barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your exact altitude. You can even use this function to plot barometric or ambient pressure over time - helping you keep and eye on changing weather conditions. Measure elevations, to an accuracy of a few metres, and decide on heads of water. Envisage property land form, or dam design, with the elevation profile on any track. For recreation or aviation, work out rates of climb and descent, and read the elevation history profile. The Garmin GPSMAP 76CSx also includes Garmin's TracBack Feature, which allows you to retrace your path back to where you started.

The GPSMAP 76CSx's high-sensitivity GPS receiver, acquires satellite signals quickly and tracks your location even in challenging conditions, such as heavy tree cover or deep canyons. The bright, colour TFT display makes it easy to distinguish details on the screen in any kind of lighting.

When navigating on the road, the 76Cx provides turn-by-turn directions to your destination. It also accepts optional preloaded microSD cards with MapSource data for your off-road and marine excursions, making this unit one of the most versatile GPS' for all activities.

With the 76CSx, you can measure an area for farming and other rural and marine applications. Area measurement is simple and fast. Just walk, drive or ride around the perimeter to be measured, press a button, and there you have it.
