GPS-Photo Link Express version 5.1 is PC software that links digital camera photos with the latitude and longitude of where the photo was taken.
A GPS receiver is used to determine the location of the photo, without physically connecting the camera to the GPS receiver. No wires needed!
5.1 features improved project management for larger projects - Create multiple templates for processing photos and creating reports, Easily share templates with others by email, Organise projects based on the directory structure of your computer or server, Create zip files of entire projects for easy sharing of information, Right click over a project to carry out an action, Drag & drop photos onto project from Windows Explorer, and Greater speed when modifying attribute data associated with photos.
The increased flexibility allows you to make airplane heading adjustment when photos are taken from the side of an airplane, import RAW and TIFF photos and accept NMEA Track Log Input.
Also inludes enhanced report capabilities - More background maps including: ArcGIS static maps, Google Terrain map, and custom maps including ArcGIS server (REST) maps and ArcGIS Desktop (*.MXD) maps, Select from a collection of free background maps GeoSpatial Experts has catalogued on their website, New map caching for greater efficiency in report creation, Additional options to turn on/off maps and attribute tables, Increased flexibility in formatting PDF and Word reports, allowing the user to control footer text, control the location of the attribute table, and change photo size, and faster report creation.
The new interface in 5.1 is more interactive, allowing you to apply a variety of mapping functions to your photo project and preview the results on a live digital map before generating the final output.
Prior to creating outputs or reports, you can preview and edit photo locations in Bing Maps. Attributes can now also be edited individually or in batches. You may edit, crop, annotate and draw on your photos, as well as add a variety of watermarks using any photo attribute (title, date, photographer, etc.).
Maps may also be saved as reports in several document formats including Word, PDF, .csv and Web pages (through Crystal Reports).
GPS-Photo Link keeps track of photos, map layers and other data in project folders, making it easier to access, share and assemble documents relating to a specific job or date. Save your settings in a template for future projects.
Will output to Google Earth, add watermarks and logos to images, GPX file format support. Will work with any camera that stores date and time in the photo, and any GPS that stores a timestamp on the track log.
This software allows you to create: Watermarked photos (shown as "photoname_tag.jpg" files) Web pages (.html files) Text file (.csv file to use in spreadsheets) GPS Exchange (.gpx to use in multiple programs including Garmin's MapSource) Google Earth (.kml or .kmz to use in Google Earth) Word Report (.doc file to use in Microsoft Word).
