GPS-Photo Link GIS Pro edition version 5.1 is a special version of GPS-Photo Link designed for GIS users who want to create shape files, or make use of advanced features on the Ricoh camera such as support for Laser Rangefinder connected to Ricoh camera via Bluetooth.
GPS-Photo Link 5.1 outputs to ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases, Access files and PDF files as well as ESRI Shape Files, Google Earth, Word and Web pages.
The new interface in 5.1 is more interactive, allowing you to apply a variety of mapping functions to your photo project and preview the results on a live digital map before generating the final output.
You can access the full functionality of GPS-Photo Link from inside the ESRI ArcGIS environment. Integrated tools licensed from Blue Marble enable GPS-Photo Link you to convert coordinate points to and from any map projection and datum.
Prior to creating outputs or reports, you can preview and edit photo locations in Bing Maps. Attributes can now also be edited individually or in batches. You may edit, crop, annotate and draw on your photos, as well as add a variety of watermarks using any photo attribute (title, date, photographer, etc.).
Mapped photos can be output as an ESRI Shape File, ESRI Personal Geodatabase, ESRI File Geodatabase, ArcSDE Enterprise Geodatabase, and Access database. Maps may also be saved as reports in several document formats including Word, PDF, .csv and Web pages (through Crystal Reports).
GPS-Photo Link keeps track of photos, map layers and other data in project folders, making it easier to access, share and assemble documents relating to a specific job or date. Save your settings in a template for future projects.
You can also name the pictures based on a Ricoh Memo field you can enter into the camera before taking the pictures. If you take more than one picture from the same location, the files will have "-1" and "-2" appended.
If you use ESRI's ArcMap, you will enjoy the GPS-Photo Link's GIS PRO extension that displays Ricoh Memos along with the photo when hovering over a feature point. Comment defaults to "Ricoh Memo1", allows the memo to be watermarked on the photo.
You can now link AVI movies taken with the Ricoh camera. Simply take a normal picture first, and then capture a movie. The movie will be matched to the picture point. Memos will also be extracted from the movie. The web page that is created will play the video. ESRI ArcGIS extension will play the video when the photo point is clicked.
Redesigned watermark screen gives user more options for adding key information to photos and deciding where to place the watermarks.
GPS track logs can be represented in Google or MapSource to display the sequence in which digital photos were acquired.
This version supercedes the Professional and Ricoh edition, and contains all previous functionality of this version.
