The Magellan eXplorist GC provides out-of-the-box paperless geocaching, with a seamless connection to geocaching.com. Quickly add field notes, and push all of your logs to geocaching.com when you return from your day's adventure (requires VantagePoint™ software).
With the eXplorist GC, you can sort and search thousands of geocaches, making geocaching with this dedicated GPS easy and fun. It also has tons of fun and familiar graphics, such as smiley faces for logs and merit-based awards to show off your geocaching expertise.

Brilliant colour screen, rich graphics, and a simple user-interface makes this waterproof unit a delight to use. The map screen provides a compass overlay, for intuitive navigation. This screen also lets you view your active track, which is a series of digital breadcrumbs to record all yours movements. Mark your starting point (car, trailhead, parking lot…) with a waypoint and easily navigate back to that location once you've unearthed your fill of caches. The dashboard screen shows a mini-compass for quick reference and also displays customisable navigation data fields, such as latitude, longitude, heading, bearing, distance to end, trip odometer, and many more.

The Trip Summary keeps track of your distance travelled, elevation gained or lost, complete travel time, moving time and stopped time, and average time to find. Easily reset your Trip Summary statistics to track the details of your next geocaching adventure.

The Magellan eXplorist GC is powered by two AA batteries for up to 18 hours of outdoor adventuring. Highly sensitive SiRFstarIII GPS chipset provides excellent accuracy.
