NRM Sunmap Raster Mapshts 1:25k CD

Overview

Dual CD pack containing 1:25,000 maps of Queensland in mapsheet ECW format.
(Digital images of hard copy line map products. Each map is viewed as a separate image.)

The maps are georeferenced and have been produced at 250dpi.

The CD contains a map viewing interface, which allows the user to seach for place name, coordinates, index map, or sunmap name or number. The viewing interface also allows maps to be exported as TIFF, GeoTIFF, JPEG, BMP or PNG. You can print a portion of the map, or the entire map.

Mapping includes over 400 individual mapsheets.

You can use this mapping with Oziexplorer and Fugawi.

Search by reference map, place name, coordinates, map name or number.
Export maps straight from CD to global positioning systems (GPS) or geographic information systems (GIS).
Use handy distance-measuring tools.
Select pop-up windows for legends and climate graphs.
Access grid and geographic coordinates.
Print entire map or custom view.

Sunmap Raster Mapsheets on CD contain topographic line maps covering parts of Queensland (see image below for coverage). These maps use the Map Grid of Australia as their projection, meaning that the coordinates of the maps are measured in metres and the maps can be used for measuring distances and areas. Pixel size is 2.54m.
