The new IQ Routes™ technology takes into account factors that can delay drivers’ journeys based on facts derived from years of gathering historic speed measurements. Depending on the time of the day, day of the week etc, your TomTom ONE 140 will provide the most reliable travel and delay times on the screen. By using real life data to calculate arrival times, you can get a more accurate estimation of journey time, along with different routes which may be quicker. The TomTom ONE 140 takes account of all types of "fixed" delay in its route calculation, including roundabouts, speed bumps, railway crossings, steep slopes and sharp bends in mountains. It also allows for more unpredictable delays, like shopping crowds and children leaving school. It then intuitively recalculates the quickest route based on this "real life" data.
Advanced Lane Guidance gives you timely vocal instructions and clearly indicates which lane or exit to take on the screen of the device, resulting in a much safer and relaxed driving experience. On a motorway, the "junction view" appears on the screen - a realistic 3D representation of the junction with a blinking arrow above the lane you need to take. This makes it clear where you should be, to go the way you want. The view appears at the same time as the voice instruction (800m before the junction). It shows the number of lanes, the lane dividers and the geometry of the road for 200m after the junction.

The matching black EasyPort mount conveniently folds back, allowing you to slip it into your shirt pocket or bag, so you can take your GPS with you.

The newly overhauled user menu contains the "Help Me!" section - giving an extensive amount of options including direct access to emergency and road-side assistance services.

The TomTom ONE 140 also speaks street names ("Turn left on Evans Road") and is preloaded with an Australian safety camera database.

The easy to use 3.5" touchscreen and the "Plug & Go" interface makes using the TomTom ONE 140 a breeze. You can even add real time traffic updates with an optional Traffic Receiver.
