The Trimble Nomad is a ruggedised PDA suitable for field or industrial environments.
Trimble Nomad PDA the rugged field computer for GIS quality data collection and set-out, or capture of industrial or warehouse information. In GIS it is used for geology, botany, asset management, disaster planning, property management, mapping, geography, earth sciences, environmental reporting and mapping, and any other spatial recording requirement.
High Speed Processing and Expansion 806 MHz Marvell PXA320 XScale processor, 128 MB RAM and includes the latest Windows Mobile 6.1 software. The Nomad runs a wide range of third-party software for industry-specific applications. A 640x480 sunlight readable colour display. Has both a touch screen, and a built-in keypad.
Long battery life Nomad is supplied with a hot-swappable rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack to keep going strong all day. You have at least 15 hours of continuous typical use - more than a full day's work.
The Nomad meets MIL-STD-810F standards for drops, vibration and temperature extremes, and it has an IP68 rating - meaning it's impervious to dust and water immersion. IP68 is the highest rating for both dust (IP6X) and water (IPX8).
The
Nomad 900B has a numeric keypad, 128MB RAM and 512MB flash memory. Supplied with RS232 serial boot.
