Please Note : This software has been discontinued.
After installing the Destinator Australia software,
you will have access to detailed street mapping
and voice-guidance for over 99% of Australian
roads on your PocketPC compatible PDA.
Works in conjunction with any supported GPS
for your PocketPC. Destinator
also has a detailed database of points of
interest (Businesses, restaurants, transport
terminals etc), and also fixed speed/red-light
camera positions with audible warnings. No
need to manually enter your contact's addresses
everytime you visit them, as Destinator integrates
seamlessly with your PocketPC's Outlook address
book. When you do need to enter an address, it is done in
3 simple steps by specifying suburb/city, street
name, and then number. If you don't know the
suburb, no worries! Just enter the street
name and Destinator will only display suburbs/cities
with that street name. Destinator will always
remember the last 15 places you've been
to, so you can easily recall them from the
list.
Destinator also allows you to optimise routes comprised of multiple addresses,
with it's multi-point routing feature. If you happen to make a wrong turn,
Destinator will automatically generate a new 'quickest' route no matter how big
the mistake or detour was.
Included with the Destinator Australia software is a CD-ROM with Windows
software, that allows you to view the Destinator maps on your PC. To load the
entire Australian mapset to your PDA, you will require at least 170MB of
storage space, so we recommend a 256MB storage card. Alternatively, the Windows
software allows you to 'choose' which regions of mapping you want on your PDA
if memory is scarce, or if you do not have an SD or CompactFlash expansion slot
available.
