Other
retailers may offer cheaper,
but nobody can match the service at Johnny Appleseed
GPS, with free uploads of firmware and honest advice.
You can trust Johnny Appleseed. Why go anywhere
else?
One small step for Garmin-
one giant leap for bushwalkers, mountaineers, scientists.
Garmin re-invents the handheld GPS with a new one-handed Rock 'n
Roller wheel interface. Easily, and quickly access the most commonly
used feature of this handheld GPS through this new intuitive menu
based system.
The Colorado 300 can transfer waypoints, tracks, routes and geocaches
wirelessly between similar units. This wireless ability also allows
the connection of additional Garmin accessories such as heart rate
monitors for fitness training, or bicycle speed sensors for bike
riding.
The SD card slot at the bottom of the unit allows detailed Garmin
maps to be added to the unit, such as turn-by-turn street mapping
(the unit will calculate the best route, and beep when approaching
the next turn). Marine mapping,
and 10m contour mapping
for Australia can also be added.
The Colorado has 384MB of internal memory if you wish to load the
maps to this instead of SD card. For bushwalkers, mountaineers,
and scientists, the electronic compass and barometric altimeter
will provide accurate bearing and height information, even when
standing still. The barometer can plot pressure over time, to track
elevation, or changing weather conditions.
Runs on 2 x AA batteries for up to 15 hours.
For users wishing to calculate areas
with the GPS, this is fully supported and instructions will be provided
free of charge from your Johnny Appleseed GPS store.
