The eTrex Legend Cx
is Garmin's new, pocket-sized handheld that brings you colour, MicroSD
card capability, automatic routing, and longer battery life. This
GPS can handle anything! It is lightweight, small, and easy-to-use,
for bushwalking, canoeing, biking, boating, 4WD'ing, and geocaching.
The eTrex Legend Cx along with the eTrex
Vista Cx are Garmin's smallest, least expensive products to combine
a colour TFT display and advanced GPS routing capabilities in a waterproof
design.
One of Garmin's standard features for this type of GPS is the area
measurement (useful for quarries, farmers and aquaculture), and
also the calendar and notebook.
In addition to the above features, outdoor enthusiasts will love the
latest improvements made to the eTrex Legend Cx: MicroSD (TransFlash)
card slot for pre-loaded mapping 256-colour, sunlight-readable
display makes it easy to distinguish map details and see where you're going

guidance to any destination (This includes off-route recalculation,
turn-by-turn directions with alert tones, and icon-driven menus for finding

The waterproof design and user-friendly interface are faithful to
Garmin's normal design concepts. The eTrex Legend Cx primary controls
are oriented on the side of the unit, so the user can conveniently
operate it with one hand. Also, an innovative rocker switch is located
on the face of the unit that enables the user to input data easily,

navigating to an address, this page is available and dynamically shows you the
next 3 upcoming instructions. This operates on auto-routing only.
3D Highway Page: When
navigating a route (auto or manual), the 3D 'highway' page is available, which
indicates upcoming turns and bearings by a solid pink line.
Compass Page: Compass with
course pointer, and customisable data fields displayed on this page. Perfect
for off road and marine navigation.
Main Menu: New,
improved intuitive main menu to allow you to quickly access the other
options, pages and settings in the unit. Controlled by the 'click-stick'
