The
Garmin Mobile 10
is a new automotive navigation system that
delivers
voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions and much more, using
Bluetooth® wireless technology. Garmin
Mobile 20 is an alternative for PDA,
with built-in GPS cradle.
Garmin Mobile 10 features the GPS 10x high-sensitivity GPS receiver,
Garmin Mobile XT software which provides full function navigation
on PDAs (Palm and Windows Mobile), Smartphones (Nokia, Symbian,
Windows Mobile and Palm Treo) and nRoute, which enables navigation
for Windows-based laptop PCs. The GPS 10x has a rechargeable
lithium-ion battery that provides up to 22 hours of continuous
use and can be recharged with the included 12-volt adapter cable.
The battery is removable and is interchangeable with Nokia smartphone
batteries (BL-5C) for maximum flexibility. **Blackberry version
not available with Australian mapping.
Garmin Mobile 10 provides the same high-quality mapping
found on other Garmin portable GPS devices. Users can easily
navigate to a specific street address or search millions of points
of interest (POIs) - places like hotels, restaurants, shopping
and tourist attractions. After selecting a destination, Garmin
Mobile XT software automatically calculates the fastest or shortest
route to the destination, and provides voice-prompted, turn-by-turn
directions along the way, while showing a 3D moving map on the
device's display. If a driver strays off course, Garmin Mobile
XT will automatically calculate the quickest way to get back
on track. nRoute provides these mapping and navigation features
on laptop PCs for large-screen viewing. Full coverage map data
for Australia powered by Sensis WhereIs maps are included.

MapSource digital
map products allow you to view a color map of an area, down to
a resolution of a few metres. All features stay in focus no matter
what zoom scale. You can easily zoom by rectangular window, or
scale, or pan to a particular town or point of interest. Depending
on the product, roads, streets, rivers, towns and highways, points
of interest and other landmarks will be shown in perfect scale.

set of map and data you use can be saved in its own file.
Mapsource supports all the different datums and formats,
so can be made compatible with your local sheet maps, and
your GPS. With the zoom and pan functions and the ability

GPS Waypoint,
Tracks and Route MANAGEMENT.
City Navigator can manually create waypoints and routes, or can calculate
a route based on shortest or quickest method, from anywhere to anywhere
in Australia. This information can be loaded to any Garmin GPS. Or you
can download waypoints, routes, and tracks from the Garmin, and they
will be overlayed on the screen for direct comparison with existing information.

REAL
TIME MOVING MAP. All
Garmin Mapsource products allow you to connect a Garmin
GPS by cable, and track the GPS position on the map, in
real-time (would normally require a laptop computer). City
Navigator Australia only operates in real time with the
appropriate licence coded GPS.
