The HAICOM HI-204 series cable GPS now includes the 204III model, which is a 20 channel Sirf GPS. This makes for almost instantaneous connection to satellites, and reception in very difficult conditions, such as near down-town tall buildings, heavy forest etc. The 204 series is a complete GPS receiver and embedded antenna on a cable, designed to connect to a laptop computer PS2 or USB port, or a PDA, such as Palm, Pocket PC or Windows CE device. The HI-204 is a magnet based GPS device, to clamp to vehicle exterior. The cable is thin enough to put through the vehicle door rubber. If you already have or are developing application software, and you need a GPS receiver to provide your position, velocity and time data, this is the perfect low cost solution.

The Hi-204III is a 20 satellite engine, Sirf III chip, with memory for last position, giving a fast fix. *

The Hi-204 is supplied with a universal PS2 cable, and either: a standard USB connector, or special connector cable for your PDA. This connects to a 12v cigar plug lead, which powers and carries data to and from the GPS and the connected computing device. An optional cable for Bluetooth transmission of GPS signal is available.
