We believe this is probably the best GPS Garmin have ever made. Amazing positioning capabilities! It's the Garmin Geko model 201. $189. Garmin have put some real power into this miniature GPS. How about 4-5 days of recording a live track, and the ability to save 10 of those tracks in separate files. And then there is 500 point storage, route capability, and enough features to carry one always - in your handbag, glovebox, carry-all, bike-bag, briefcase or backpack. You will certainly find uses you would not believe. How far to a friends place- how long will it take to get there? Preset routes, backtrack, and even on-screen games, can be handled expertly by this tiny handheld GPS. The Geko201 has very dynamic position ability, while running a continuous automatic record of where you have been. And it is so easy to have it calculate a back-track, with warnings every time you come to a turn in the track. Routes can be designed with up to 125 points in sequence. It will store 500 points, as well as the 10,000 point track (4-5 days of memory). All this information shows clearly on the map screen. There is also a guidance compass screen, a trip computing page, a menu list, and a satellite screen. 4 games are included for those times when you just need to stop and relax. Backlighting is perfect for lowlight or night time. Points, routes and tracks can be downloaded to (and uploaded from) computer, using Garmin or other software.
