The GPSMAP 76CSX has ESP (extra sensory perception)

Either
GPSMAP 76Cx and CxS can be supplied with a variety
of
bracket options, and 12v and PC cables separately,
or combined.
When used outside of the vehicle or boat, the GPSMAP
76 C series simply unclips, and will use the internal
2 AA cells for up to 16 hours.
The
SirF III GPS chips, allied
to better power management, no-battery memory, and
casing technolgy, means the GPSMAP 76C series comes
up with the goods for many users. It will store up
to
1000
user waypoints with graphic icons. As well, GARMIN's
exclusive TracBack™ feature will automatically
log your trail for up to 5 days (10,000 points). Reverse
the track log, and navigate your way back home. It
is also used to calculate the area of the track, making
it very useful for farming, fishing, botanical and
other pursuits. |

The
GPSMAP 76CX and CS each have a built-in basemap
of cities, coastlines, lakes,
rivers, highways and connecting roads, (for Australia/NZ,
Asia) and a database of nautical navaids. Each has
a Micro-SD card slot for storing optional MapSource-
detailed maps, and Blue
Chart
marine cartography. Optional Micro-SD
memory cards can be overwritten again and again, Tracks
and profiles of trips, and elevations achieved, is
shown
graphically.

unit features a built-in quad helix antenna and SiRF
GPS engine, giving superior reception compared
to previous models..
Johnny
Appleseed GPS can supply Garmin
Blue Chart CD rom to upload detailed marine mapping,
and Garmin Mapsource software
for uploading land mapping to the GPSMAP 76CS (112MB
memory available). Uploading or downloading waypoints,
tracks
and trip profiles, or real time tracking on screen
is available for both PC and Apple Macintosh operations.
Storage and reloading of waypoints or tracks is a simple
operation on Garmin Mapsource, Fugawi
moving map software, or Oziexplorer
moving map software. |
