Garmin's new colour
chart plotters incorporate the latest ARM processor to speed
chart drawing,
and screen functions. They also have the advantage of using the
proprietry Garmin memory cards, so are completely compatible with
your Bluechart
map cartridges.
Here is the GPSMAP 172C with internal antenna.

readable display (even with sunglasses on), your water navigation

The GPSMAP 172C series come with
a multi-angle mounting system with stainless steel shaft and mounting
screw. A cover is provided for the screen on both models, when not
in use. |

You can save 3,000 waypoints (with
auto date and time), and you can backtrack on any one of 15 color
coded track files. These can be saved from a track log up to 5 days
in length (10,000 points). |

You can easily upgrade the GPSMAP
172 series to a sounder/fish-finder with the addition of the Garmin
GSD20 sonar box, and a suitable transducer. |
