The new graphical GIS data collection system from Leica
The
Leica GS20 collects and sets out to less than one metre. It is
a neat on-the-belt handheld data collection system using Bluetooth,
no cable. You can use it real-time, with or without DGPS. (Available
worldwide,
incl.
PNG, Indonesia, SE Asia, China, India etc ). Use in the remotest
areas, no base station to set up. Perfect for preliminary surveys.
The hand-held unit is a cable free operation, all batteries
and DGPS components are on the belt. The hand-held receives DGPS
messages by Bluetooth. You can also use one or two GS20 handhelds
for cm accuracies using computer post-processing.
Collect
lines, points, or polygons to half-metre acuracy. Break into any
collection sequence, to collect other types of data. Add attributes
with multiple
features.
The codelist system allows you to design your own collection requirements,
and gives the user mandatory or pick-list inputs. Recording
or setting out data is easily handled by new users. You can collect
hundreds of points in a few hours. You can set out or locate assets
as waypoints, or set out lines (or offset lines) defined by two known
points, from current position to a known point, or by bearing away
from a known point.
