The Ricoh Caplio 500SE Bluetooth Edition is the ultimate camera for outdoor work. The Bluetooth feature allows a Bluetooth GPS to be connected to it, so that the position of the last photo taken is watermarked onto it. Alternatively, you can connect the Ricoh GPS to the camera, which plugs into the side, drawing it's power from the camera. This GPS option is priced at $385 inc GST.
The new add on GPS Compass Module available for the Ricoh Caplio 500SE features both GPS & digital commpass, to provide an integrated Geo-Imaging solution, allowing you to embed both GPS coordinates, and direction.
The 500SE Bluetooth camera features an 8.13 Megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, is fully waterproof, has a 2.5" LCD review monitor, and large-capacity Li-ion battery to give 400 continuous shots. If the battery runs out, the camera also takes standard AA batteries. It's macro mode allows you to get up really close, and take photos from as close as 1cm away from the lens!
Photos are stored on an optional SD
card.
Supplied with 240V charger
and manuals.
Can also be used in conjunction with GPS PhotoLink
Ricoh Edition, which allows the geo-tagged photos
to display when hovering over a feature point in
ArcMap/ArcGIS.
