hesitate - Navigate! The perfect solution for mobile business.

66 built-in. See
this!
Behind the wheel. On your bike. Or simply walking.
Switch from day view to night
view. Browse your route in the classical 2D view, or fly like
a bird over the map in the more challenging 3D perspective. Change
map colours. Set speed limits and speed alerts. Pick the language
of the voice
instructions
and
the user
interface.
The navigation software and maps are designed to be stored on
an SD card, improving response time.
This is different to some mapping supplied by internet connection
through mobile phone technology.

that simple! $199 from your nearest Johnny Appleseed GPS store.

Requirements for, and
our experience with, Route 66 Navigate 7
» In order to load mapping to a Pocket PC, you
must have a PC with a USB port, a memory card reader/writer,
a memory card
(256
MB). You also need
a (wired, Bluetooth, Compact Flash or built-in) GPS receiver
to use this product. Choice of
GPS.
» Navigate in Australia from door to door on your
Pocket PC. Users of Pocket PC devices must be aware of limitations
regarding processing power, and memory useage, and requirements
for the various programs they are using. It is not unusual for
these devices to require a soft reset at various times. The more
programs you are running, the more likely this occurrence.
» Extremely fast re-routing in case of deviation from the
original route. Our experience with Route 66 indicates that it
is as fast as many dedicated in-car nav devices.
» Accurate and in-time navigation instructions. Again, our
experience with Route 66 indicates that it is as fast as many dedicated
in-car nav devices.
» Quick address look-up thanks to FuzzySearch™ address
search engine. This is quite unique for in-car navigation, as it
does not require systematic input, such as suburb, street, number
etc. We found it extremely useable.
» Keep a clear view on the road at night with night colours
» Unlimited use without further subscriptions
» Plug & Play installation |
Really good features
of Navigate 7:
» Smooth
map display thanks to interpolation of GPS signal (I-GPS) -
true, we've checked it!
» Uninterrupted navigation in tunnels
and urban areas thanks to extrapolation of GPS signal (E-GPS)
- haven't checked this,
but have no reason to doubt it.
» On-screen exit information like
on signposts along the road - yes, very good, and includes next
turn plus the one after.
» Large button user interface for
in-car use with the tip of your finger.
» Latest geographic data for Australia.
» No more speed tickets thanks
to a clever warning system when exceeding a preset speed limit.
In your face too, if you exceed it. You won't use this if you
have cruise control.
» Direct dialing to hotels, restaurants,
etc. to make for example a reservation (only in case of Windows
Mobile for Pocket
PC Phone Edition)
» You will always drive in the correct
lane, thanks to lane advice when approaching exits, crossroads,
forks and roundabouts.
» Recoinnoitre the route by planning
in advance on screen. Fly like a bird. Reminds you that it is hard
to fly like an eagle, when you work with turkeys. Only joking.
