Thales Mobile Mapper can be used as a field data collector with DGPS (2 -3 metre accuracy) or without DGPS (4-10 metres accuracy).

Supplied in the following sets to suit most applications:

1. Mobile Mapper 6 with Oziexplorer CE for map display and basic data collection.

2. Mobile Mapper 6 with Magellan Professional mapping software.

3. Mobile Mapper 6 with Arcpad for comprehensive GIS data collection, with attributes and layers.

4. Either of above systems 1 - 3, with the addition of a DGPS receiver (see below).

5. Either of above systems 1 - 3, with the addition of an Omnistar DGPS satellite receiver.

Mobile Mapper DGPS beacon receiver on a belt is designed to correct the position accuracy of many serial GPS devices, including Garmin handheld or boat GPS.

The Magellan MobileMapper 6 handheld is accurate to 2 - 3m when used in conjunction with a differential unit, such as the MobileMapper Beacon or Omnistar DGPS unit. For better accuracy, connect to the followingr: 1. 2-3 metres - CSI (MBX-3 and MGL3 antenna) or JRC DGPS receiver, mounted professionally with rechargeable battery in a backpack or in a waterproof carry case, using Bluetooth serial connection. 2. Half metre - Hemisphere R130 DGPS receiver in either free-to-air mode or paid Omnistar mode, with Bluetooth serial.	Thales DGPS Beacon Receiver will work with many Garmin GPS. This achieves consistent accuracies of 2 - 3 metres, rather than 4 -15 metre. Really useful for field sciences when re-visiting points later.
