The Approach X40 is an all-in-one solution to improve your fitness and shoot better golf. Remove the hassle of carrying multiple devices as the Approach X40 comes preloaded with over 40,000 golf courses worldwide and also combined daily activity tracking with wrist-based heart rate plus vibrating smart notifications to keep you connected on the go.
With Elevate wrist heart rate technology, you can measure your heart rate 24/7 without the need of an additional heart strap. Keep track of information such as calories burned, and quantify the intensity of your fitness activities to provide better credit for your efforts.
The Approach X40 is a durable, comfortable and versatile low-profile wristband that combines golf GPS with fitness tracking with smart connectivity. It is water-rated to 50 meters and comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Stay on schedule with every day activities with an alarm setting and the ability to check the current time and date.
A high-sensitivity GPS receiver ensures you’ll receive accurate distance data needed to play with confidence and the crisp touchscreen display provides you with distances to the front, back and middle of the green – even when you’re under tree cover.
Automatically detect shots along the fairway with the Autoshot feature and measure distances to use with Garmin Connect™ for post-round analysis.
Green View allows you to see the true layout and shape of the green, even if you’re behind it and you also have the ability to manually reposition the pin for a more accurate shot.

You can save, review and even use Garmin Connect™ mobile with your smartphone to automatically share your round with others online. Garmin Connect lets you download your round and contrast it to your last round; track improvements to your game for every course you play. By combining your best score for each hole, it can also tell you what an idea 18 would be for that course.
Pair your Approach X40 with the easy-to-use TruSwing club sensor by Garmin (sold separately) and a smartphone or tablet to gain access to real-time, 3-D animations and other useful swing metrics to see how your mechanics affect ball flight and shot results. The Garmin Connect Mobile app also provides you with information that lets you instantly analyse swing tempo, speed, club-path measurements, critical club angles and more.
The Approach X40 comes with over 40,000 preloaded courses out of the box. Garmin Express makes it easy to keep your device up to date with the latest courses and updates which are added each year. These updates are completely free with no setup charges, fees or subscriptions.
