I have found that you should not move this device from vehicle to vehicle as it loses its suction power,
Suction mount for smaller GPS unit (nuvi 2360) was hopeless and kept falling off no matter how clean the surface was. Just didn't have the suction power to allow for variances in temperature etc. (especially in Queensland). Having the larger suction surface area designed to hold heavier units means it never gets close to its limit, hence never falls off.
