Garmin Forerunner 935

Premium GPS/Running Triathlon Watch with Wrist-based Heart Rate

Comfortable and Stylish Design

With a lightweight, stylish and comfortable design - the Forerunner 935 is suitable for every event, and can be worn as an every-day device. Compatible with Garmin's line of QuickFit™ bands, there's a band to suit every event or occassion and it's easy to swap them around. Available in sporty silicone, classic leather or high-end metal bands.

New Training Status Evaluates Your Performance

Training Status is a new performance monitoring tool that evaluates just how effective your current training plan is, so you can better prepare for your next race or training cycle. It lets you know your training productivity by evaluating your recent exercise history and performance indicators and will let you know if you're training productively, peaking or overreaching. See whether you're pushing your limits with the new anaerobic training metric, giving you insight into that critical dimension of training. You also have the ability to view your overall training load, which measures your exercise volume from the last 7 days and compares it to the optimal range for your fitness and recent raining history.

Get the Data Needed to Improve Your Form

The Forerunner 935 measures important running metrics that you can use to analyze and improve your performance. Biomechanical measurements such as cadence, stride length, ground contact time and balance, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio are the key to understanding your form so you can be your best on race day. An additional compatible Heart Rate Strap or the compact Running Dynamics Pod (available here). You can also take advantage of feature sets to help with your cycling and even swimming - in which you can track your distance, pace, stroke count and more.

A Battery You Can Rely On

Receive up to 24 hours of battery in GPS mode and up to 50 hours in UltraTrac battery saver mode. Using it as a day-to-day smartwatch, you can expect up to 2 weeks from a single charge - so you can go longer without charges and not need to worry about running out of battery in the middle of a marathon.

Feature Sets for a Wide Range of Activities

Your routine is anything but routine. Forerunner 935 lets you change things up with ease thanks to built-in activity profiles for running (indoor/outdoor), cycling (indoor/outdoor), swimming (pool/open water), cross-country skiing, paddle sports, trail running, hiking, strength training and many more.

For brick workouts and du/triathlon races, the auto multisport feature lets you switch sports with just one button press. The 935 is compatible with advanced workouts for running, cycling — and even pool swimming. Create your own custom workouts and download for free from Garmin Connect™ online fitness community. Then review your past efforts on the app or share them with family and friends for added motivation.

Smarter Connections

Smart notifications delivered right to your wrist are just the beginning. When paired with your compatible smartphone3, Forerunner 935 also gives you access to automatic uploads to Garmin Connect, audio prompts, music controls and more. Let your loved ones follow your runs and rides in real time with LiveTrack — or use GroupTrack, which lets you keep tabs on your riding buddies as you go. For getting your data to and from the cloud, if you like the quick connection Wi-Fi® provides, 935 can do that, too.

Compatible with Heart Rate Straps

Wrist-based heart rate might be an easy choice when you want to move without restrictions on race day, but Forerunner 935 gives you the option to tap into much more data with the addition of a compatible heart rate strap. A chest strap heart rate monitor (like HRM-Run™ or HRM-Tri™) unlocks advanced features such as lactate threshold and the HRV (heart rate variability) stress test.

Built-in GPS and GLONASS Capabilities

With Forerunner 935, you’re free to go wherever your activities take you — thanks to GPS and GLONASS coverage, which can track better in more challenging environments than GPS alone. Also, a built-in barometer provides you with real-time elevation information. What activities can 935 track? More than you ever thought possible! The triathlon sports are just the beginning, because there is also built-in support for hiking, rowing, golf, skiing, stand-up paddle boarding and lots more.

Even More Additional Functionality

Just like you, Forerunner 935 goes hard, all day long. This watch becomes your partner in recovery with all-day activity tracking¹ that monitors steps, calories and sleep. It’s also compatible with our line of Garmin Varia cycling awareness devices, including rearview radar, smart bike lights and Varia Vision™ in-sight display. Complete your cycling suite with our pedal-based power meters, Vector 2 (dual-sensing) and 2S (single-sensing). Vector 2 pairs seamlessly with your Forerunner to show power, cadence, left/right balance and cycling dynamics, which show how and where you produce power.

TrainingPeaks Connect IQ App

Open your daily workout right on your Forerunner 935 with the TrainingPeaks Connect IQ App. It can guide you through your workout in real-time, complete with intensity targets and interval durations straight from TrainingPeaks. Then view a detailed analysis of your performance and measure your progress toward your goals.

Peace of Mind with the Road ID Faceplate

Whether hitting the trail or on the road, you can customize your Forerunner 935 with a Road ID Faceplate (sold separately) which easily attaches to your band and contains important medical information as well as emergency contact details if you run into difficulties during your workout.

Great watch!

Great battery life, wearable as a watch - not just a multi sport accessory.

Pros: Flat appearance, good positive feel to buttons
Cons: Not sure about accuracy of the HR monitor yet, previously I always use chest straps rather than wrist reader...might just have to get used to it

Great device

This is my first Garmin watch so I can't compare to the other model. But I really recommend this watch to all as it is fantastic - very light and functional. I also bought the Garmin Dynamics Pod to connect to it. They capture all the data I want every time I run. I'm very happy with this purchase. And Johnny Appleseed even did a price match for me in only 5 secs review!!!!

Had the 910, this does everything better and faster (and does more). Significant improvement on the already very good 910.

I was sceptical that they could improve much on the excellent 910XT, but they have, and by a considerable margin. Heaps more features than the 910, more reliable data upload, quicker satellite acquisition and surprisingly good wrist-based plotting of open water swims - all improvements that fixed the things that occasionally bugged me about the 910. Excellent battery life too, so much so that I wear mine day and night, so I can track sleep quality, resting HR over time, stress levels (from HR variability). With the swim strap I've finally worked out that you can actually work pretty hard when swimming (despite being non-weight bearing exercise), something I'd always wondered about. Great for running, cycling and swimming, but also good for hiking and has other sports modes. Loads of stats that you get with Garmin connect for the obsessive data geeks like myself too. For example, after a fairly intensive bit of training it tells you how long you'll need to recover, and suggests training load - cool for someone a bit erratic like me. Even the new strap is more comfortable than the old 910. Aside from missing the occasional swim lap, I can't find anything to complain about, and loads of features I love about it. Couldn't be happier (maybe if it also made toast?) and I haven't even discovered all the features yet.

Pros: Very fast acquisition of satellites for GPS, HR measurements to indicate stress/ over-training, wrist-based HR, swim HR strap accessory, temperature, etc etc. Cable transfer of data much more reliable than the ANT+ system used by the 910.
Cons: Sometimes misses laps when pool swimming, need to kick off wall pretty firmly, but understandable considering how much the accelerometers have to do in this watch (including recording sleep movement /stage and steps).

Great features, not just for sport.

Great all rounder watch which is easy to use. There are so many functions and it would seem that there is nothing that this watch can't do. Never thought that I would become obsessed with the stats but can't help myself. Love the stress section that helps you take time to breathe and bring your stress levels down. Great to be able to see who is contacting you when training without having to get your phone out when it beeps.

Pros: Immediate sync with phone
Cons: Maybe a touch too bulky for a womans watch, particularly if you wear it 24/7

Awesome fitness tracker!

Does everything you expect when recording your training and more but best part of the forerunner 935 is the training effect, training status, Vo2max and lactate threshold data. Allows you to adjust training so that you gain the most adaptations without overtraining. Constant connection needed with phone to have information about weather as it does not store any but must read from phone. Can't receive notifications if too far away from phone which is frustrating at times.
