I used to just put my Garmin Glo on the dashboard of my plane and had it slide all over the place. This simple little mount solves the problem so well and it sticks like glue in one place. Such a simple elegant solution.

Item works well, on most smooth surfaces, and windows

Glad I bought the mount as when on dirt roads it was not easy to find a location that didnt move. Flexibly enough to store in console etc when not in use. If you are buying the GPS, do yourself a favor and get the mount.
