Good firm and handy too...

The case is well made and functional but bigger than it needs to be to contain and protect the Garmin Oregon and has a cumbersome internal securing arrangement. There are third party cases that fit the instrument better and offer as good security and protection - for half the price. I didn't publish, but had the same thoughts about the sizing of the soft case from Garmin for the Oregon. There may be very good reasons for the designs, of course, but they is not clear to me.

I bought this cover as it is the standard. For me its a little too bulky because I like to put in my pocket. However if it hung off your belt or strap via the carabiner it would be okay. It makes sure the screen isn't scratched. It performs that function well. When you put it in the case it fits on a clip. Make sure you pull the end of the plastic to release the notch otherwise you can't get it out.

Fits perfectly and assured your handheld GPS is safe while bush bashing! Retractable clip would make this better.
