My gps continues to live!

I am impressed that this battery pack is available. I’m able to change batteries and keep going without waiting for my gps to recharge. I’ve had my gps for quiet awhile and was considering purchasing a gps where I could replace the batteries in the bush if needed then I stumbled upon this one. I can not only keep using my gps with all my data but I have purchased one for my son as well. It is a bugger we can’t use the radio function on the gps’s with this battery pack, but as I’m hopeless in the bush without it and without having to face the expense of purchasing another gps finding my way back to camp was obviously my priority. Thankyou Johnny Appleseed, once again for fantastic service.

Pros: Convenience being able to change batteries
Cons: Unable to use radio but I did know this before purchasing

Great alternative

Great buy, good service, future proofs the unit now it is older...I don't have confidence in the lithium batteries to last so this is good alternative.

Pros: The fact I can carry spare AA with me now
Cons: Little bulkier

excellent back up if your main battery runs out

I bought this as a backup to carry in my pack when I am out bushwalking so if the main battery dies I will always be able to flip over to this if need be.

Pros: Safety back up for for my unit if I am unable to charge my main battery whilst out in the sticks
Cons: none as yet or if I have to say anything just the reduction in radio from 5w down to 2w

quality batt pack that mounts well

The batt pack takes 4 x AA batteries. The batteries are easy to clip in and the pack seals nicely and the contacts are very strong.

Pros: good water seals and strong battery contacts
Cons: More bulky than the Lithium Ion batt pack
