I brought this with the intent of first person footage while responding to car issues and fires at Wakefield park raceway where I volunteer as fire & Rescue , the results from using the head strap mount where far better then I had thought it would be ,great view perfect angle & awesome footage.

Fits perfectly onto a hard hat, but a head mount may not be the best option for recording as the recorder needs to maintain a steady head. Looking around and walking cause the recording to move around and can become very hard to watch. A chest mount would be a better option.

I wore this while running a 20km obstical course and let me tell you it is comfortable, half the time I forgot I was wearing it, although the garmin virb elite is a tad heavy you soon get accustomed to it. It is water safe, mud safe and ice bath safe. It has heaps of adjustment available so you can get a snug custom fit. I just put it in the washing machine to clean it and hung it out, this head strap is hardy and has less vibration than the shoulder mount I find. The front plastic panel has foam under it so it doesn't rub against your skin and leave you with a nasty rash. Although it fits well you can easily slip it off, for mid race camera adjustment. If you are going to use this for running I highly recommend it, as its low profile too it sits lower than the go pro head mount.
