Garmin VIRB XE Battery (010-12256-01)

If you are planning on doing a lot of video work in a single day, must have a second battery, would even consider a 3rd. I can get 1 hr constant recording when using video set at 1080, 48 fps

life of battery is very over rated

This is the genuine battery for the Garmin Virb X/XE camera. This is the second one I have bought. The first one started loosing power over night after an all day charge. It wasn't 12 months old and had done about 2 hours work spread over weeks/months. It is not Jonny Appleseeds' fault,,, or Garmin. It is just the nature of the beast,,,, batteries. The original one that came with the camera is still going strong. I will see if the new one performs any better than the last one.

Easy to use and install, but only lasted under 90min. Lucky I dad spare to changed over.

Can't really go wrong with a spare battery and I'd highly recommend anyone buying the Virb XE to get one as the battery life isn't that great at all. Changing the battery takes seconds and they are small enough that it isn't hard to keep a second (or third!) one around should it be required.
