Smart Activity Tracker with Wrist-based Heart Rate and GPS

Color: Fucshia Force | Size: Small/Medium

Sports on the Go or at Home

Built-in GPS gives you the freedom to take your activities outside. During a run, walk or ride, vívosport is able to track distance, time and speed or pace and even map it out for you on Garmin Connect. It’s also preloaded with additional timed activities, including strength training and cardio, so you can work out the way you like.

Daily Fitness Monitoring and Stress Tracking

Monitor key aspects of your fitness and wellness with help from Elevate™ 24/7 wrist-based heart rate monitoring. With the heart rate data it collects, vívosport is able to estimate your VO2 max and fitness age, 2 indicators of physical fitness that can improve over time with regular exercise. It also tracks your HRV (heart rate variability), which is used to calculate and display your stress level. The goal is to make you aware when physical or emotional sources cause your stress level to rise so you can find a way to relieve the pressure.

Slim Design, Vibrant Style

With all the features and sports it packs inside, you’re going to be surprised by just how thin this activity tracker is. Not only does it complement every outfit and every occasion, it’s perfect for all-day wear, especially since it’s safe for swimming and showering. The always-on Garmin Chroma Display color touchscreen is responsive and bright enough to see — even in direct sunlight. The vívosport activity tracker is available in 3 trendy 2-tone styles, so choose the color combination that speaks to you.

Get Connected

Once paired with your compatible smartphone, you’ll have access to a full suite of smart features that bring convenience and handy features to your wrist. Get text messages, social media updates, emails and more, find your phone, access music controls and use the LiveTrack feature to let friends follow your activities. With auto sync, your finished activities will even automatically upload to Garmin Connect.

Share and Compete

Syncing your activities to Garmin Connect is for more than just storing your data. Garmin Connect is a thriving online community where people on the go can connect and compete by joining challenges, encourage each other’s successes and even share their triumphs via social media. Mostly very pleased - still learning to understand the results!

I purchased the small size - only just large enough. I am slightly concerned as I have owned Fitbits for the last 8 years and the step count on the Garbin is probably 20% lower than for an equivalent distance walked on the Fitbit!

Pros: Small and lightweight. Easy to see the time. A small tap is enough to light up the screen.

A Successful Punt on a Great New Product!

I am a "review-junkie", thoroughly reviewing almost everything I buy before a purchase. This was a birthday gift for my wife and she didn't want a large, watch-style fitness monitor (she has a small wrist) but something comfortable to wear, to monitor her daily exercise, heart rate and also track her walks, birdwatching and playing golf 3 days a week. Having come to the conclusion that the Vivosmart HR+ was the best choice for her, I was all set to buy and then read about the Vivosport, advertised for release in Australia in October 2017. Her birthday was 28 Sept. I contacted JA mid-September and asked if they had a firm date on delivery and discovered they had stock already! So on the basis of very little information other than on the Garmin site and a couple of previews, I purchased what she now considers a fantastic gift, in time for her birthday! The specs that convinced me that this would be an ideal fitness tracker for her were of course the weight (24gms for the small size), there were size choices for different wrists, HR monitoring, GPS, waterproof, good battery life, the pre-loaded activities widgets that she wanted and a good screen that was remarked on by a number of previews. There was also a positive (in our opinion) having a touch screen. Having had the Vivosport now for 3 weeks and syncing and tracking her data with Garmin Connect, the choice has certainly proved a good one. Apart from getting "dressed-up" and going out, she wears the watch almost all the time. Charging is quick and doesn't have to be done all that often. She is tracking her walking, exercise and golf walking as well as sleep and heart rate. Having recently spent some time in hospital with an episode of tachycardia, she is conscious of casually monitoring her hear rate during the day and whilst the wrist based monitor is not perfect, it is certainly good enough. The screen is exceptionally good in bright light and the backlight (wrist-turn activated) in poor light is really good! The screen is quite small so may not suit everyone but is crystal clear and the touch screen seems very responsive and accurate (no evidence of false hits). It seems like Garmin has read the reviews of the Vivosmart 3 and the Vivosmart HR+ and said' "Let's fix this up and make the 'perfect' fitness band" and come up with the Vivosport. I went with a punt, based on the specs alone but the watch has proved a winner. There will be better ones come along in time but at the moment, the Vivosport is a very good choice for a quality, all-round, comfortable, fitness tracker!

Pros: Very light and comfortable to wear, pretty good heart rate measuring, great battery life for the size and a quality screen and brightness.
Cons: Screen is small but notifiactions are readable. Can't add apps so generally what you see is what you get.
