Rider Alerts to Keep You Aware On The Road

The zumo 595LM provides helpful alerts for sharp curves ahead, speed changes, railroad and animal crossing, school zones and more to enhance road awareness and encourage a safer ride. You are also notified when you may need to check state helmet laws or when you're about to go down the wrong on a one-way street. You also receive alerts for nearby red light and speed cameras. Fatigue warnings will suggest break times and potential rest stops worth considering for longer rides. See places of interest and milestones on your route without leaving the map view on your navigation display with the zumo Up Ahead feature and Easy Route Shaping lets you ad a point on your map to adjust your route if you have preferred areas or specific rows you want to ride on.

Smartphone App for Added Features

The Smartphone Link App gives you the ability to know what's happening on the road ahead. Gain access to live weather radar and traffic information wirelessly on your zumo 595LM. You can also use the app to enable LiveTrack, which lets friends track your whereabouts whenever you're out on a ride.

In-built Dynamic Fuel Tracking

With a built-in trip computer and digital fuel gauge you'll always be able to easily estimate how much longer you can ride before you need to fill up the tank. Dynamic fuel stop alerts prompt you when it's time to refuel and show service station location options. The zumo 595LM also comes with a helpful speed limit indicator so you know when to slow down. A digital compass display and a database of motorcycle-specific points of interest (POIs) are also available to help you locate cycle repair services, dealers and more. You can also keep track of your service dates, mileage and performed maintenance on your bike with the Service History Log feature on your zumo.

Lifetime Map Updates

Your zumo 595LM comes with free lifetime map updates for the useful life of your device, so routes reflect the most up-to-date points of interest and maps available.

feature packed and intuitive

I've been looking at different GPS units for awhile, and in the end it came down to the 595lm. easy to use and read also very intuitive had it set up in a min or two, packed with features... pricey I know but you get all sorts of mounts and cables to fit both your bike and a Car Plus RAM mounts as well. make sure you get a security lock like the Touratech one to go with it. piece of mind at the servo or stopped at lights

Pros: , reliable and robust unit . easy to use and easy to update. Audio is clear and concise through headsets
Cons: no standardised mounting, had to get busy with 1/4inch steel plate and a drill, a storage pouch would be nice.

Just what I wanted, terrific.

This is an upgrade from the Garmin 660 that I had before, now a bigger Bike, so a Bigger GPS. Great piece of Kit.

Pros: All that a rider could want, off road tracks and the Black Top.

Excellent GPS with Excellent Connectivity

I've had a few Tomtom Riders over the years and they've been great. I've been using a Garmin Montana 680T for off-road stuff and I like how it works with basecamp. When it came time for a new GPS I went with the 595LM mainly because of the SmartLink App and connectivity options. The 595LM works great with basecamp as well so it's easy to get routes onto it. I've done about 3000kms on the bike with it in all sorts of weather without any issues. The wiring harness has a heap of audio in/out/USB connectors which are a bit of a pain to secure if you aren't using them. My biggest gripe is that the bike mount doesn't have any security. Garmin's rugged AMP mount (which won't fit the 505LM) has a locking screw that you can use to discourage light hands, i wouldn't have thought it too difficult to similarly secure the 595's mount to provide some protection for a $900+ GPS.

Pros: The connectivity to iPhone and Smartlink App. Big Bright Screen.
Cons: The bike mount doesn't have a locking screw like the Montana's Rugged AMP Mount so security while away from the bike is an issue

Excellent lane departure pictures.

Excellent rugged unit, as it suits me on my motorcycle around Australia, can clearly read the screen in bright sunlight.

Pros: What delays are up ahead.
Cons: Expensive, but you get a lot more in the box.

It Is what it is

Great unit the up ahead and turns listing on the RHS of the map are great. I used to have a 660 which i swore by and at first i didn't like this unit but once i head my head around how it worked it was great. If Garmin had mapping software as good as google maps. Take my money!!! Basecamp is only good as a database program

Pros: Large screen. Great functions once you Re learn them
Cons: Garmin Keeps changing their menus !!

Bigger screen help. Difficult to view the screen detail with out having the shield from the sun. Tried all the settings/themes but no difference. Battery life may not last the four hours.

Needs a sun shield to assist in viewing the screen. Will not allow you to go through the gps when connected to the computer and charging. And the notrs mentioned above. Courier used for shipment needs reconsidering. I took fourdays to travel 100km and still had to drive to the depot to collect. Fast way couries are more efficient..

Pros: Works ok when using a glove
Cons: Will not connect to map source

Hi Tony, I can see that StarTrack took 2 business days to deliver to your semi-rural address. Typically they deliver overnight, but 2 business is still pretty quick we feel. Perhaps overnight is only to inner-Toowoomba.

Great device - works brilliantly

Very good display and system. Really tailored to the bike rider and is a lot better than most in car devices. The alternative route planning for traffic congestion can be interesting. Just do lane filtering instead.

Pros: Great screen and the software design is superb
Cons: Alternative route planning for congestion can be poor
