Useful wish it gave school zones too

Worth the money spent on the item

Pros: Good speed indication and red light warning
Cons: Wish it had a few others incorporated

Disappointed

This is the second unit that has replaced the first unit that I had purchased and it did not even give me a warning when I came to a red light camera - the bracket is hopeless - evan after I had tighten up the screw on the bracket - plus the unit I returned I had to pay for the transport cost after haven the unit for a couple of days

Pros: if it does what it suppose to do it would be great
Cons: Bracket - the unit does not give me a warning

A very worthwhile addition to safety

This was my second purchase of this device . Having fitted the HUD Speedometer to one of my vehicles I felt completely lost without the advantage of having one in my work van. No more looking down at the dash speedometer, so eyes where they should be, on the road. The added advantage of the camera alerts is really helpful, as is the tone when acceleration up to or through 60Kph

Just OK

I had high expectations of this product as a basic driving aid and yet I feel the device disappoints on a few levels. Firstly, the service and delivery from JAS was excellent, with delivery occurring within a couple of days, so no issue with JAS. However, the product itself I feel is cheaply made. The sticking Velcro failed after a day and I had to use a commercial grade Velcro to secure the device to the dashboard. The connecting hinge was loose and kept coming loose until I applied a screw gel to keep the hinge more firmly in place. Also the buttons to change settings seem poorly placed being easily brushed up against, requiring to be reset ad nausea. And, finally, in daylight the display on my windscreen is not nearly bright enough, even at the maximum setting. At night or in overcast skies it reads very good. On the plus side, the speed reading is very accurate and responsive with little if any lag and start up is within a few seconds. I feel the need to send the device in for speed camera upgrading very inefficient and grating inasmuch as I have to pay for this yearly upgrade. Fortunately, I live in in a non metropolitan setting and speed cameras are not as prevalent. Though, of course, there is no need to be speeding in the first place. Overall, whilst I find the speed readings to be accurate and responsive, which is the main function of the product, to reiterate, I feel the plastic construction of the product leaves a great deal to be desired, though perhaps this type of construction is designed to make the product lighter? Perhaps a small suction mount & bracket option might be a better way to secure the device to the vehicle? I would suggest the manufacturer make a better hinge and screws, even reverse the direction of the hinge and place the adjustment settings buttons on the top edge of the Unit. Too, I would think the device needs to have a brighter setting (and more colour options for the display) in conditions of strong sunlight and have a three speed warning setting (for say 40km, 60km and 100km) as opposed to the current two. I would have liked a choice of warning sounds but this is a minor quibble. The need to send the Unit in for a yearly update on speed cameras is absurd and I would have thought an ability for the User to do the upgrade on line would be better, even at the cost of a small extra amount in the initial purchase price. The concept of a HUD is certainly worth having as a driving aid, even at a basic level. Yet, I feel this product can be made much better, or perhaps buyers could stick with one of the many apps' that be purchased for a few dollars which feature a HUD running off your mobile device?

Pros: Accurate, responsive speed readings. Prompt delivery.
Cons: Poor construction, not bright enough, fiddly to use. Needs work.

Average unit

I could only use this unit as HUD, very poor sound quality for alerts, T-Way camera warnings are totally unnecessary since I am not a bus driver. Day time visibility is also very poor even with the film. Setup is a lot to be desired.

Pros: HUD only after sunset
Cons: The rest

Great device

I am extremely happy with my HUD purchase. It has stopped me from exceeding the speed limit and lets me know where red light cameras are situated . It is very clear and easy to read. Love it,love it thank you. ,

Very useful device

Does everything it says it would. One improvement that I can think of: Provide a USB plug option. This would be preferable for me because my old car only has one 12 V supply. If I run a Double USB socket I will then have still one extra supply point.

Pros: Red light camera and speed warnings
Cons: There should be the option to upload the latest red light camera and speed camera positions from the Internet

Mucks up a lot

Sometimes it takes ages to acquire the satellites. Then there is the problem of the display jumping from the actual speed to show 112k and various other high speed, at the same time the overspeed alarm keeps going off. I don't know if I have a dodgy unit, the above does not happen all the time but often enough to be annoying. Also, it does not announce a known red light camera when approaching it from the north, but it will warn me when I am approaching the camera from the south?? Still needs plenty of work to be reliable.

Pros: The idea
Cons: As above
