We welcome phone, mail, fax or email requests for written quotations, from insurance companies and loss adjusters, corporations, businesses, government and semi-government bodies, councils, indigenous bodies and international agencies. We will be happy to supply written quotes to individuals for private use, if they mail, fax or email us a request with full details of contact and residential addresses.
If the quote is for insurance purposes, please understand we will NOT quote inflated prices. We will quote our normal competitive retail prices, because anything else may be considered fraudulent. We will NOT send written quotes to individuals who phone us.
Return & Refund Policy
As a retailer we are not obliged to accept return of goods purchased at our store, because you have decided not, or some circumstance means you are unable, to keep them. Please make your choice with this in mind. You need to pay the freight or postage costs when returning goods to our store. This policy and the following notes are in line with Government guidelines.
We can accept goods for return in the following circumstances, and then only if you have a valid receipt or other proof of purchase with this store:
If we agree to accept goods for return, and the goods returned are not as supplied, or are not in as-new condition, we reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee. This will generally be 10% of the purchase price, and the percentage will increase proportionally, further from the date of purchase. At our prerogative, any refund agreed upon, may be in a form other than cash or credit/debit card reversal, for example cheque or bank transfer.
- The goods are materially defective. By definition, this is a fault in manufacture or defect in operation, unless you were informed of such fault or defect at time of purchase. This situation is covered by our warranty obligations, which means a refund will not be offered.
If discovery of the defect occurs within 30 days of purchase, we may offer a new item in exchange. The defect may require confirmation by our supplier, in which case an exchange may be delayed. Delays may also occur when we have to check or reverse, product registration, validation, locked or unlocked codes or activation codes for digital mapping or software.
If discovery of the defect occurs after 30 days from purchase, we will have the item repaired or replaced. Please be aware that warranty exchanges may take from a few days, to a month or more, depending on the supplier, and stock availability.
- The goods were not as described to you by the sales person. You will need to have a careful record to prove this, and you need to contact us within 10 days of purchase.
- You were offered a return acceptance within a particular time frame, by the sales person at the time of purchase. You will need to have a careful record to prove this, and the goods must be complete with all packaging and accessories, and in as-new condition.
- You wish to upgrade to a more expensive model of the same brand-name, within 10 days, and only when the goods are complete with all packaging and accessories, and in as-new condition.
Information about you, our customer, is never passed on to any other person, or organisation. Where you ask us to unlock a Garmin mapping product on your behalf, your name and address, phone number and email address is passed on to Garmin in the USA.
Information which is secure within our business includes:

Credit card numbers and details, bank account and payment details.
For security reasons, when you place a second or subsequent order by phone, we ask for credit card details again. We are unable to look up your previous purchase credit card records.
Our website may collect anonymous data (Non-Personally Identifiable Information), which could include data such as search engine referral, traffic via banner ads or other promotions, visitor navigation, popular pages, browser usage, screen resolution and other technical information. This helps to provide us with the information to make your online experience with Johnny Appleseed GPS the best possible.
